Richie Calitro majored in percussion and music theory at Hart College of music and played with various musicians including trumpeter Stubby Pastor, Pianist Michael Fendell and bassist Cliff Gunn. He headed his own trio “Top of the Menu” and had a four year stint at “Bacci’s restaurant”  in Sarasota Florida with the Danny Negri trio. An excellent vocalist, Rich toured the north east with the Paul Martino Trio and joined Peter on his Germany tour.

Jack Fanning played with well-known bands in California and led his own groups.  He founded the Monterey Bay Hot Jazz Society and was advisor for creating the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee, the world's largest jazz festival of its kind.     Jazz players and other band leaders often sit in with Fanning's versatile band in Venice FL.  He also has recorded with famed pianist Dick Hyman. Jack used his computer skills to create Jack Fanning's "Shadows," in which he plays vibes and sings with MIDI-generated accompaniment.

His Friends

Speaking for the Florida Friends, we all enjoyed touring with Peter.  The friendly and overwhelming response from the audiences  made each of the eleven concerts fun to play and we would like to thank  Peter and his wife Petra for being the most gracious of hosts.   They both have plenty of experience since Peter has produced concerts with many top musicians from the States such as Butch Miles, Peanuts Hucko, Johnny Varro, Wild Bill Davidson, Ralph Sutton, John Allred, Harry Allen, Tom Saunders,  Harold Alden and of course Peter’s dear friend Bob Haggart and many, many others.  We look forward to playing with Peter during his visit to the States and are planning to return to the friendly hotel in Waiblingen (and others) and touring again in 2006.
